Report of the REACT Survey [top of page]
A Survey of the Responsibilities,
Experience, Arrangements for Contracts and Training needs among Primary
Care Research Network Staff.
This survey was conducted by the Federation during the winter of 2000-2001.
The objectives of the survey were:
1. To ascertain the varied responsibilities
of individuals who work for primary care research networks (PCRNs)
and research & development support
groups (RDSGs) in a co-ordinating or administrative role.
2. To capture the variety of backgrounds of people fulfilling these
roles.
3. To describe the range of contractual arrangements in place.
4. To collect postholders' perceptions of the most useful and relevant
skills and experience and ascertain how expertise had been acquired.
5. To identify training and development needs.
